Bondi to Coogee coastal walk
I did the Bondi to Coogee coastal walk at a reversed direction today. This six-kilometre coastal cliff top walk passing ocean pools, a cemetery, surfers beaches, coves, picnic grounds and stunning views, with the Pacific Ocean on one side and million-dollar houses on the other side. These free public beaches are just 30-min bus ride away from the city center, and have free showers and lockers, and many restaurants. No wonder so many young professionals are attracted to Sydney.
Bondi Beach is closer to town and more crowded, while Coogee Beach is further yet quieter and prettier, and in between are Tamarama Beach, Bronte Beach, Clovelly Beach and Gordons Bay. I got too much sun along the way such that I did not feel like swimming although I packed swimming suit with me.
I stopped the State Library to use a desktop to transfer photos from my phone into a thumb drive, and then walked on the platform of the Sydney Harbor Bridge at sunset. I invited a potential travelmate to my hostel Saturday Free BBQ cookout to discuss her east coast trip details so I can decide whether to tag along. I felt pretty full after one burger, one hotdog, one piece of grilled chicken breast, and a teriyaki chicken stick.
Lots of people at the beach
