Backpack 6-foot track for 3 days
I took the 3-day 44-km Six Foot Track in the Blue Mountains (2hr train ride from Sydney) with Aminah from U.K., Pauli from Finland, and Dylan from Dutch. We formed the group via Facebook Sydney backpacker group.
The track from Katoombato Jenolan Caves has many sections of 6-foot wide thin got its name. The track took us through state forests and national parks and some of the beautiful valleys of the Blue Mountains. I did not have a tent so I managed to sleep under the cover of picnic tables with a yoga mat (donated by Melody and Javaid, and now in the hostel donation section waiting for its new owner), and a sleeping bag full for two night. The track has some steep hills hard to get over under Australian sun, but I did it and then hitchhike back to hostel. I am glad that I backpacked once in Australia, although my shoulders are still sore form carrying 5-liter of water.
I finished laundry and packing my bags, ate lunch, returned the emergency beacon to the police officers offers happened to busy the hostel, and now eating ice cream to chill out before heading to Sydney.
