Cathedral Cove, Blue Spring & Rotorua hot spring On north island NZ
We took a scenic walk to Whanganui-A-Hei (Cathedral Cove) Marine Reserve on the Coromandel Peninsula on north island, covering an area of 840 hectares. Cathedral Cove is named after the arch located there. The cloud was too thick for seeing sunrise but still dry to enjoy the walk.
After a quick brunch stop at a bakery for famous New Zealand meat pies, we drive to the Blue Spring at Te Waihou Walkway, an internationally acclaimed purr water spice that supplies around 70% of New Zealand’s bottled water.
I and Kay checked in a hostel in Rotorua that is known as the thermal wonderland of New Zealand. There are hot springs and geysers attracting tourists for over a hundred years. We drove to a free and natural hot spring in suburb, and enjoyed a fun bath. We had kabob sandwiches for dinner, exchanged photos in the hostel, and then hug one another goodbye before Reddy and Pipi heading back to work at a kiwi farm. Thanks to their presence during the amazing three day trip.
looks like an amazing place
